Charl writes. Introducing Sam and Sallie. So young in age and trashed away. Galgo pups kept in the darkness of a shed and forgotten about … left to fend for themselves.
Just mere babies at best they scavenge the ground in the dark.. barking till hoarse Sam lost his voice. “Someone.. anyone can you feed us?”
The day came when they were remembered and thrown over the fence of my friend’s refuge. The norm here… and then they become prey to be robbed. So galgos from Maria head to us for safety.
Sam and Sallie had pink paw pads. Soft as a baby’s bottom, never been walked on. Pirhana sharp nails never felt the ground. Thin.. thinner than thin and beside themselves in fear.
They came to 112 carlota galgos as the siblings they are, both needing each other and very clear to see. They began to feel the therapy of the finca and then sadly because of such malnutrition as babies Sallie fell and broke her leg, bones not yet formed in strength.
Now recovered they live happily together in the orchard but so need to stay together forever. I cannot see my way to separate them. For who am I to do so? They need one another. Fought to stay alive together. Best friends.
I know how hard adoptions are and to find a home together it’s a lot to ask. But there must be someone somewhere with a big enough heart to love these two.

These dogs are stunning, so beautiful, lovely, they deserve a chance. I’m sure there will be a fair few people out there who would love to have two young galgos! How lucky they will be. What a wonderful lady Charl is. I will be making a donation at the end of the month to her via The Blue Greyhound.
