This is Rey a King among Galgos. Charl wrote a poem in tribute to him. Many of you will know Jennifer, always ready to comment on my posts. She adopted Rey.
She’s a wonderful supporter of the hounds – car boot sales every week to raise funds for the dogs, raffled hampers at Xmas – her fundraising never ceases. She’s a lady who says it as it is – no problem with that. So I’m pleased to publish here her tribute to her adored galgo Rey, adopted from 112carlotagalgos.
Hip Hip Hooray – Rey is 9 years young today! Never thought I’d make it this far but thanks to my rescuers and thanks to Jen, I’ve been given a chance to live again.
SO, Mr Hunter – watch this space – I’m happy and loved, so in your face!

Happy birthday Rey! What a handsome black beauty he is and very lucky to be in a lovely home and looked after by Jenny. I enjoyed reading his story and everything that Rey has overcome in his life.
Happy Birthday to Rey. He’s a lovely boy and so lucky to have found his forever home with Jen and her family . She has a heart of gold when it comes to helping the galgos .She works ceaselessly to raise funds and care for her own dogs and family . She always puts herself last. I am lucky to know her and proud that she’s my friend. I’m sure Rey will have been super spoiled today!
