Leishmania – where to purchase medication in the UK?

Have just received this request for help. Anyone in the UK able to help Karen.

I have adopted a dog from cyprus and she has been diagnosed with Leishmania. The vets here in England can get the medication for the injections she needs of Megulamine Antimoniate (glucantime) but it will take 4 to 6 weeks and costs £3500.

    Dear Karen,
I had a greyhoundgirl with Leishmaniosis. In Germany we have an very good specialist for Leishmaniosis. Dr. Naucke from “http://www.parasitosen.de/”
If you want, I will get you in touch with him…

Lots of help offered through me posting the appeal on facebook. Karen has already read the article on Living with Leishmania written by Anne O’Connor, on this website.

    Hi Karen,
We have adopted two pups from Cyprus last year and have just learnt that their mum has been diagnosed with leishmania. So I started search the web about this disease and found your post.
I was wondering if your dog could be mum of our pups. I know that she was black pointer cross and was adopted by English people. Our dogs are golden pointer cross labrador. If you are the one it will be nice to speak.
Today I just learnt about the diagnosis and was advised by the rescue home in Cyprus to do the antibody tests for my dogs. I am not sure if this disease can be transmitted from mum to pups but I am getting worried.
Anyway I wish you good luck to find cheap medication and hope your dog will stay strong.
    Take care
