Pet Wash – do you have one near you?

Dog_carWash 250Danielle Hart, who translated my book on the Spanish Galgo into French, recently sent me the following tale. Any of my readers had experience of a pet wash?

‘I’m translating a magazine for convenience store owners and there is an article on this carwash in Ontario, Canada, that added a “petwash” to its services. Not sure if that’s popular in Europe, but here it’s a growing trend. People can wash their dogs in those petwashes at their local carwash. The dog looks like a Galgo. I was startled to see him. Or perhaps it’s a Greyhound? Hard to tell… But I thought I’d share it with you.’

I emailed Odile Brochot from Lévriers sans frontières about it and she said she’s seen them in her area. Not sure if they have them in a lot of other places or not though.

We certainly haven’t got them up our way in Poitou Charentes.

I have never seen anything like this in Germany or in Hungary.
People do wash their dogs, of course – at home!
