Terrible news from Australia about their greyhound industry – which a couple of years back was denied by in comments by Australian greyhounds trainers on this blog!

Greyhounds Australasia has admitted that up to 17,000 healthy dogs and puppies are killed every year because of greyhound racing — and that the industry would be shut down if these secret figures ever became public (www.AnimalsAus.org/tt7).

Its own board called the deaths of these dogs “indefensible”. If you agree, speak up.

And for the figure of 96% of greyhounds dying before they are 4 years old – read the same figure for the hundreds of thousands of galgos to which a similar percentage applies!

These people just don’t value life in any form.
