Save the Galgo – Stop the suffering

Marching for Spain’s hunting dogs 7 2 2016

300+ marchers in Santander to add to the hundreds who marched in cities all over Spain on Sunday 7th February 2016 to protest about the Spanish galgueros and cazadores and hunting with dogs.  Here’s a comment from one marcher.

Santander…
300 people gathered to show the city its rejection of the hunt.
Every time they look more greyhounds and hounds in the north living happily in a home, despite the fact that we still have a long way to go, there’s still a lot of animals suffering, and that they expect us to help them. That’s the reason for these demonstrations, to show everyone what are the consequences of the hunt and that there are other options that involve a happy ending for all. It’s not worth the “I didn’t know”, Now the whole world knows that it is animal abuse, and that’s why we march – for an act of animal protection, by the end of the hunt, for an education based on respect for the living beings.

Thank you to all the participants, the organization, the associations, the media coverage that you got, photographers and puppies that were with you.  Always together partners.

Also 150+ marched in Toledo, 150+ in Salamanca, and lots more!  Wonderful support by the Spanish people for this protest.

Great news that the Spanish people protested and showed the hunters that the abuse of these beautiful dogs has to stop.
