I have to say I have never been a fan of Cesar Milan every since I saw one of his TV programmes where he advocated using one of the metal spike collars on a dog…by people who had no experience as dog owners previously. (I believe these collars have been banned in the UK). This video was first shown last March.

A lot of people have been fooled by this man. I have heard stories going back years about his methods.
I’ve never liked this man. Always seems to want to just dominate a dog and shows little kindness.

At the beginning a few years ago, he seems to make sense, but the more I watched his show, the less I liked what I saw. The infamous alpha roll is one example… This domination and submission crap is getting tiring. He won’t even tolerate an excited dog, who’s bouncing around because he’s happy! He wants dogs to behave like statues or stuffed animals. A dog is like a young child really. It’s not healthy to have young children who behave correctly constantly, who never shout, run around excitedly, jump, etc. Dogs should be allowed to behave like dogs, they’re not potted plants…
