Greyhound Rescue Holland – join the adoption team

Greyhounds Rescue Holland is looking for fellow volunteers joined the adoption team.

The adoption team mediates adoption of dogs (greyhounds and podencos) from the Spanish shelters. This means a lot of contact with the prospective adoptive parents and contacts of the Spanish shelters.

Adoption Team volunteer is a tough job that depends intensity in terms of the number of applications running adoption. It is important that the work between the members of the adoption team is well distributed and that consulted regularly via whats app and phone.

But asking volunteers to make a house call to potential adopters, assessing adoption applications and decide on part of this task.

The adoption team always placed the interest of the dog first.

What we think is necessary to rotate the adoption team?

Service providing support for our internal (dogs, shelters and colleagues) and external adopters. Dogs take center stage in the adoption process.

10-20 hours a week with a flexible attitude. More current adoptions means more work. And raids for another team during illness or holidays.

Creative, independent and solution-oriented thinking in emergencies. Consultation where possible.
In possession of at least one greyhound, or in the past held by galgos. And experience and / or knowledge of traumatized dogs.

Podencos – knowledge or or willingness here to learn more about.

To deal with a computer linked to work with mail programs, spreadsheets etc.

Willing to also receive calls from prospective adopters. Your telephone number is listed on the website.

In possession of a mobile phone with the ability to whats-flaps.

Correspondence with shelters is mostly in English, decent written command of English is required (some adopters communicate in English).

Sense of responsibility.

Self initiative (dare to) take.

Work well with other team members adoption.

Sober and practical.

Discreet regarding the privacy of potential adopters and contacts of the shelters.

Consultation and cooperation with other rescue organizations.

Willing to work according to guidelines GRH.
