If you are thinking of adopting a galgo or podenco, please think carefully and talk to other adoptants about the process. Be sure the dogs are Pet Passported and proper homechecks are carried out. Also that there is good backup support should there be problems. Many galgos especially have been kept in horrendous conditions and can take many months to adjust to life in a home. My own Carmela came with serious mental problems and it took me over 2 years before she fully gained our trust in every aspect of her life with us. However, it was worth it as she has developed into the most delightful affectionate playful character.

Ik teken omdat ik het vreselijk vind dat deze honden moeten pijn lijden voor die rotte jagers en die gasten die ze hard laten lopen tot dat ze uiteindelijk als ze niet meer nodig zijn ,ze ophangen of martelen of wat dan ook ,,dit moet stoppen ,!dieren voelen ook pijn ,,en ze zijn het waard om ook vrij en een lief huisje krijgen ,,Jagers mogen van mij opgehangen worden ,en die deze mooie honden slaan of laten verhongeren ,!
