Galgo Polar – what has he been up to?

I haven’t mentioned my beautiful handicapped galgo Polar for a while…it’s 6 years this month (June) that he came to me from Pepis Refuge in Pedrera, Spain. Here’s his story. He is a gorgeous galgo, chases and plays with his buddy Bracken and never shows any sign of pain from his damaged knee. He has been on turmeric for a while but I have now changed to Devil’s Claw, which I used in the past for both my first greyhound and my old horses for arthritis. He loves lying on his back with legs in the air asnd a grin on his face, and follows me around…he’s definitely a Mummy’s boy – till he sees a cat stalking mice in the meadow behind the house. Then the hunting instinct kicks in! Luckily there is plate glass between them! He also has lots of toys, loves to carry something in his mouth, he’s got 2 toyboxes full! Below is a pic of him in the courtyard with a selection of his toys. Love this dog to bits!!

Can you believe he was ever this small?! Here he is in April 2013 when he was dumped at Pepis.
