The discarded galgos become part of the landscape in certain places in Spain and during a specific time of the year.
It is sad to see how they roam the fields, roads, towns and cities looking for something to satisfy their hunger with and somewhere to shelter from the cold. Above all, it is devastating and frustrating to see how many of them end up dead, lying on the road or in a ditch, after being run over.
We don’t have the solution to end this problem that many don’t even want to see. We cannot change or make new laws; all we can do is try to rescue as many as possible and provide them with a safe place, food and veterinary assistance, and then look for families that give them the love they deserve and never had.
But we are not the solution, this is not the solution, because NEXT YEAR HUNDREDS OF GALGOS are abandoned once again during the hunting season and at the end of it they WILL ALSO BECOME PART OF SPANISH LANDSCAPE.
