Luckily, more and more people are deciding to give a galgo a home, but generally people are looking for “perfect” galgos. Handsome, that they get along with other dogs and cats and that they are not afraid.
There are many galgos, like Hava, who are fearful or shy, but it is only until they are in a quiet place and little by little they trust those people they see every day and see that they are not going to hurt them.
These galgos also deserve a family that loves them and a comfortable home and they need it more than the other ones, since they have a bit of a hard time in the shelter.

My galga Carmela was 4 years old when she came to me, terrified of being in the house. It took 2 1/2 years for her to become a ‘normal’ dog, helped by her buddy Sahara who did not have any fear.
