This girl was spotted along and in the middle of the motorway towards Los Lobos. A girl, Cristina Parra Sánchez, did not hesitate to stop the cars on this busy highway and try to save this poor soul. With a lot of patience she managed to gain her trust and was able to get her to safety. We picked her up and took her to the vet for a first checkup. Blood was immediately taken to test her for the most common Mediterranean diseases. The result was negative for Dirofilaria & Leishmania, unfortunately she tested positive for Erlichia (heartwork) & Anaplasma. We immediately started a course of doxycycline for 28 days. This beautiful girl, we named her Cristina after her saving Angel, is estimated to be 4 years old.
Her body shows many scars but she isn’t emaciated, she must have been dumped not very long ago. ortunately, this is all a thing of the past, and she can look forward to a new and better future.
