Santo – large (when grown) male Galgo, estimated year of birth: 2023.

A family were shopping and when they left, they took a short cut to arrive earlier. As if by fate, they saw a dog in a bad condition (very thin and walking very slowly). As they had been shopping, they decided to throw him some food. As they approached however.m, the poor dog collapsed into them, could barely stand (he probably only had hours to live) and did not want the food they were offering. He also had several wounds on him. They tried to get him but he appeared as if he wanted to run away, scared they might hurt him but his weak body wouldn’t let him and he fell to the ground.
The family calmed him as he was shaking and showed him love through strokes so he began to wag his tail. They took him home to hydrate him where he was able to at least start to move and eat something. They were then able to take him to the vets where they found he had a broken knee. They sorted his operation and now, his leg is much better and he is full of energy!
They wished they could adopt him but sadly, their own dogs just won’t accept him so here he is, hoping he will get chance of a happy life from now on.
