Flooded shelter on 30 October.
Update 10/11/2024
We are forced to pause/stop the collection of physical donations. But we do have what is in our collection points at disposal
It is impossible to leave the collected goods in the shelter and the collection points are full of blankets, towels, bedding and cleaning items that we still need to collect. It is impossible for us to make a count of what there is, if there is more or less of what we will really need, anyway we are falling short and once we put it all in the shelter we realize we are wrong in this decision.
But we can’t be selfish! We are having a hard time and we have lost everything, but we are not the only ones, there are other shelters who have lost food, blankets, towels, etc.
So with what we have in points and a couple of pickups we have on the way and pending delivery, we’re going to try and make it enough. We are still going to continue to need furniture, bookshelves, building materials, machinery rental and lots of help for the rebuilding and fixing of the affected areas, so if you can continue to help us with that, well why do you know someone who can give us a hand, well why you decide make a contribution towards the cost of any of these things, it would be really wonderful.
We want to thank everyone. And when we have a little time we will be making posts to thank you as you deserve and to tell the world how many stars have lit our way in our darkest moment.
P.S.: We also must not forget those small protectors who, without having been affected by water, are affected by this situation, as their method of survival (small donations, pick-ups or markets) are staying aside due to the urgency of those affected by the Dana. For them we once again THANK YOU! and WE ASK that from now on if you have food, blankets, towels, etc… Share it to any protector in your area, if you don’t know any, we can help you.
