Yet more excuses for sub human Spanish hunters, shepherds etc to maltreat their dogs. There is no control overRehalas, how they treat their dogs, transport them etc.
Rehaleros call for a differentiated regulation for hunting dogs and domestic dogs: “They cannot receive the same legal treatment”
ARRECAL has asked in a meeting with the general manager of Dirección General de Derechos de los Animales José Ramón Becerra, a differentiated regulation for hunting and working dogs and domestic dogs. “Dogs linked to kinetic and labor activities cannot receive the same legal treatment as a pet.”
In his discretion, it is “indispensable” that this exclusion is collected in a “taxative” manner to avoid “legal uncertainty and future problems for the owners of rehalas”.
The European text “does not contain specific exceptions for hunting dogs”. Therefore, the rehaleros consider that the interpretation and application that will later be done in Spain will be “determining” for their collective.
A dog is a dog. Demanding different laws for hunting dogs is not seeking legal security, it’s disguising the privilege of acting without consequences.
