On Tuesday night, 18-08-2026, the Chilean Chamber of Deputies determined the future of dog racing in the country. The full chamber approved a ban on these clandestine competitions, with 80 votes in favor, 41 against, and 7 abstentions.
In Portugal racing is allowed and the exploitation of this breed continues. Forced training, doping, blood trafficking and cruelty.
On this day, Chile is on the right side of history.
Sadly it could send the ‘sport’ underground. I hope not.
