Every year, in the Spanish killing stations (perreras) 175.000 dogs are euthanaised, that is almost 500 each day! Dogs who want to live, young, old, healthy or sick, playful and sweet like your own dog with a whole life ahead…Yesterday 500, today 500, tomorrow 500, the day after tomorrow 500…EVERY DAY !! SO DON`T BREED, DON`T BUY: ADOPT !!!

Galga Jade in Huelva – can you spare 5 euros?
Marianne Murphy has sent this plea. ‘The killing station in Huelva has contacted Asociacion Naturalia, and asked them to take Jade. She is a galga of around 3 years. She was hit by a car and has a severe hip fracture. Asociacion Naturalia is loosing their shelter in less than a month, and are not able to take more galgos, even less paying for operations.
There is NO TIME to create an event and make an auction on Facebook. So I am asking you all – if there is any way that you can spare the cost of a a cup of coffee, walk today instead of driving, and spare the cost of that litre of gas, FOR JADE ♥

Cordoba galgos – abandoned, injured, starving, needing help
It never stops raining sick and injured galgos in Spain! This poor abandoned galgo is in Talavera, Cordoba, possibly with a broken leg, very scared, very lame. In a pile of rubble with no shelter, in the rain. Can anyone take it urgently. Contact adopcionesasha@gmail.com

Rioja URGENT – IN BANKRUPTCY – all dogs could die!

We are in bunkcrupcy, some colleagues has done thing very bad, saving dogs without any control and this makes a big hole in our account, we have 100 dogs as you know and so many costs per month. But this is not the worst, we are desperate, a denuncia by a bad person who is a neighbour of our rescue centre has been made and we have to leave the rescue in one month if police uses the verdict of judge.
This neighbour denuounced us two years ago and time has passed till now, we do not know what to do, where to leave our sweet dogs, this morning I have ask for help to one German friend and she is mobilizing some friends to get foster homes in a great number, I wish we could get it together. Bea is looking for another place to set the rescue, but it is not easy, there are so many dogs

Pemphigus Foliaceous – auto immune disease – has your dog suffered?
My first galga, Karmel, developed pemphigus foliaceous, a genetic disease which breaks down the auto immune system of a dog – or cat – and also in humans. I have just been contacted by a galgo adoptant, whose beautiful 3yr old galga has been diagnosed with pf, and is desperate for any help regarding treatment, as her vet is running out of ideas. Besides the articles I wrote on Galgo News about Karmel and pf, are there any other readers who have had a diagnosis of pemphigus foliaceous in their dogs? If so, please email me band@bbrennan.eu

Galga puppy in Jaen, Andalucia – 3 months old and already a victim
This little baby is only 3 months old. She was wandering near some cars, some children started to attack her. Luckily she was heard screaming and crying and was rescued, and is now in a garage. An appeal is out for an association to take her. She’s been named Dana. She is affectionate and trusting, even after her bad treatment.
