  • Galgo Verdini needs a foster or adoptive home

    Puntanimals Verdini 400 6 2023
Dogs can suffer from health problems like humans, and one of them is epilepsy. Here’s a plea from Puntanimals for help for galgo Verdini.

‘VERDINI NEEDS HELP – We need your HELP this time in the form of FOSTER HOUSE FOR VERDiNi. VERDiNi has been diagnosed as epileptic. He has started medication, but to get his seizures under control, he NEEDS CALM and follow a routine that avoids stressful situations. Tricky thing to get in the shelter.

The TREATMENT is very SIMPLE, we don’t need any expert, it consists of one tablet every 12 hours and a little more. But it’s very important to keep him under control and calm so that his situation starts to normalize.

Please IT IS VERY important, we are afraid that he will suffer an irreversible attack for not following such simple guidelines.

VerdiNi deserves help, he’s a 7-year-old ggalgo, calm and very good.

If you can offer a little space in your home to VERDiNi contact (Spain 0034) 610528802 and we’ll give you all the information.

  • Protectora Scooby now 30 years old

    Scooby logo 400
Although this is a video from when Scooby was 25 years old, nothing has changed apart from some of the animals! The abandonment of hunting dogs, the cruelty to animals in Spain never changes and yet the Scooby team are always there to help. Please support them.

Report and video from Protectora Scooby Palencia which, along with Scooby Zamorra, were the 2 latest shelters to open.

(Translation) ‘Summer is usually a difficult time for animal protectors, since the number of abandoned dogs increases with the holidays. This year, for the moment, fewer dropouts have been registered in Palencia than in previous campaigns, which suggests that society is becoming more aware. But there is still a long way to go, especially when it comes to acquiring a pet. For many, buying an animal is a whim that contributes to increasing the problem. Adopting, on the other hand, can be the solution and gives these animals a second chance.’

And a video of a visit to Protectora Scooby Medina by a young French woman and her father. Note the white podenco sitting in a hole. This is often the ‘bed’ for hounds which are chained outside.

  • El Refugio de Brown in Badajoz, Extramadura – desperately needing help – donations, fosters, adoptions

A desperate appeal from Lidia Martinez of El Refugio de Brown in Badajoz, Extramadura, a terrible region for hunting dogs.

‘I introduce myself I am Lidia Martinez and I am a teamer and collaborator of El Refugio de Brown in Zafra Badajoz, her situation is very hard, there are only two people managing more than 100 animals, at a cost monthly of € 2,000 or more in veterinary and residency expenses. They do not have their own premises, as the city council evicted them from its facilities and also residencia, where we take many animals from the perreras from Extremadura and Andalucia.

Please we ask you to value the possibility of being part of these groups with all support, since all help is fundamental and donations and help is desperately needed.

I leave you the link to their website so you can know them a little more and the links of their two groups.
