On Tuesday night, 18-08-2026, the Chilean Chamber of Deputies determined the future of dog racing in the country. The full chamber approved a ban on these clandestine competitions, with 80 votes in favor, 41 against, and 7 abstentions.
In Portugal racing is allowed and the exploitation of this breed continues. Forced training, doping, blood trafficking and cruelty.
On this day, Chile is on the right side of history.
Sadly it could send the ‘sport’ underground. I hope not.
#galgoslibres
For a century, they’ve suffered in silence. It’s time to stand up, show up, and make some noise.
The greyhound racing industry leaves a long trail of forgotten lives behind bars. These dogs can’t speak for themselves, which means it’s up to us to be their voice.
Join us in Manchester for the **Century of Suffering – March For The Murdered Million** and demand an end to the cruelty.
📍 **Where:** All Saints Park, Manchester
📅 **When:** 25th July 2026

Even though hunting with hounds in Spain ended at the end of January, the shelters are still overwhelmed with dogs abandoned and dumped in perreras.
No sooner has space been made in shelters because galgos have left for their forever homes but the space is soon filled by more innocent souls dumped by the galgueros. The pressure never stops.
