27/11/2018 Ann’s Canine Care is feeling optimistic.
Please don’t be alarmed at the photos of Remus. This is the first photo of him coming out of the perrera weighing 18kg. The second and 3rd photos were taken today weighing 17kg.(see below)
During the first week he actually went up to 22kg, but I think that this was mainly water replacement because he was so dehydrated, having fed him top quality wet food. Then the distemper really kicked in, he went down to 20kg, then 18 and then 16. If you think he looks bad now I’m sure you wouldn’t have liked to see him when he was 16kg, that’s why I photo’d him with his jacket on, and also to keep him warm.
I hope regular readers will have chuckled at the Richard Skipworth greyhound glossary cartoons I occasionally publish. Well, now he’s produced a book of two years’ worth of his cartoons, together with 4 Christmas Card designs and a 2019 calendar. All sold to raise funds for the Greyhound Trust. Info below.
‘I’ve just done a deal with the Greyhound Trust in the UK to sell my book through their official store. A percentage of the profits will go towards helping the hounds in their care.
Here’s a link: https://greyhoundtruststore.com/collections/all/richard-skipworth
I’ve also produced a range of Christmas cards for the Greyhound Trust again this year, and they asked me to help in promoting them – see link above. According to their page, overseas shipping is available, details on this link. https://greyhoundtruststore.com/pages/about-us
The calendar is available to buy on ebay but beware, postage is expensive.
And another sweet brindle dog with Fundacion Benjamin Mehnert
‘We have just welcomed Pipi, this beautiful little dog with sweet big eyes that tell us a sad story for now, we hope they will soon be able to tell us a very different story. Pipi arrived with a cut in her neck, which seems to indicate that she has been tied for a long time. We are going to heal the wound but we hope to heal another deeper wound, being a battered dog. We would like you to find a home soon. Would you give her that opportunity? Thank you’

If you want to help us financially:
I’ve only just found this story, so apologies for it being a little late, but good to read. Translation from Italian.
She did it! Ruth has completed her “Trek for Tech”.
She traveled 115 km and collected more than 2,000 โฌ for the purchase of laser equipment and magnetic therapy.
Ruth ended her journey the same day the Scooby transporter crossed the finish line, with her load of dogs and cats reaching their new families in the Netherlands.
Two very special events for the animals, which occurred on the same day.
Thanks to the Scooby drivers who drive for hours, to accompany the animals to the families that will welcome them with love, thanks to Ruth for completing her trekking along the Way, and a big thank you to all the donors who supported her.
‘
All the details below, closing date 15th November, so only a couple of weeks!

During the storms in Malaga a completely starved galga was found on the street. Ann Marie Payne of Ann’s Canine Care immediately promised to take her in. Poor hound is full of wounds, we don’t know what she has been through, and it looks like she’s pregnant. Ann is taking her to her vet tomorrow. Let’s hope the best that Monica, apart from her injuries, is healthy.
Ann is naturally happy about any support in the form of donations or sponsorships.
This is one of the two little galgos that we picked up yesterday run over https://bit.ly/2CixDrQ. Unfortunately one died on the way to the clinic and this little one is still in very critical condition ๐.
As always, we will do everything possible to save her life, so that she has the opportunity to know what is the warmth of a home and she can to have a family that really loves her.
๐ Please, we need your help to continue saving and changing lives.

Two of our puppies are sick. At the moment they are hospitalized, since they need medication and to be monitored. The best thing for them would be to finish recovering in a foster home.
Could it be yours? If so, send us an email to seguimientos@scoobymedina.org. The homes must be in Medina del Campo or Valladolid.
