Valladolid perrera – Scooby to the rescue
From Cobie at Scooby Residencia Valladolid.
Meet puppy Joseph jr. rescued 25/8/2015 from the perrera in Valladolid by Scooby. Was he born with this or has he had 2 broken front legs without them being treated? Or maybe he was taken too soon from his mother, as usually, and is this because of malnutrition? We don´t know yet but if it can be fixed, Scooby will fix it and if not, we will find him a goodhearted family who is not looking for a `perfect`galgo but for one who needs a loving family because the heart is all that matters most!
We took 2 other galgos at the same time.

Another fabulous prize in the tombola. Gifted artist Pat King says ‘I will paint a picture of the winner’s pet, no restriction on what type of pet, in acrylics on canvas measuring 40cms x 30cms which is about 20″ x 16″.’

Buy your tickets now! Help pay for the vet treatment for Anca, old podenco who’s spent a lifetime breeding puppies, kicked in the eye and dumped. Now receiving vet care and love at Pepis Refuge. -
Tombola for Pepis Dog Refuge – buy tickets now – lovely prizes
There are over 70 dogs at Pepis Refuge, Pedrera, Seville, including galgos and podencos. This year alone 2 heavily pregnant galga bitches were dumped there, producing 19 pure galgo puppies; two more young galgos were thrown over the perimeter fence, luckily neither was injured; and this month a hunter brought his galgo as he no longer wanted him. Add to this the podencos who have been there since puppies, awaiting adoption, one recently dumped at the gates in a box. And now old girl Anka, a lifetime spent breeding puppies, kicked in the eye, dumped, and needing vet care. All these dogs need vaccinations, sterilising, chipping and more. PLUS it costs 700 euros/month to feed all these dogs.
So I’m appealing to you on behalf of the hounds at Pepis Dog Refuge to help them by purchasing some tickets in this tombola. First prize is a copy of Martin Usborne’s superb book ‘Where Hunting Dogs Rest’, donated by and personally signed by Martin.
