Over Easter weekend April 8 to 9, 2012 a hiker found 40 km south-east of Limerick, Ireland, an open mass grave with 7-8 greyhounds from the racetrack come.
An initial investigation by “Limerick Animal Welfare” shows that some cadavers were in a serious state of decomposition and there were also certainly two greyhounds dumped in it recently. It is suspected that there will be more skeletons, but the overgrown site needs clearing to allow further investigation.
Please protest some more to save the Irish Greyhounds. Latest appeal.

A petition targeting the Irish Greyhound Board and the Irish Government has been published on the Care2 website calling for the withdrawal of the IGB’s proposals to export greyhounds to China. Please sign the petition and help place pressure on the Irish authorities to show some care and compassion for this gentle breed.
The petition will be delivered to the Irish Embassy in London – the Irish Greyhound Board and Government offices.
Please help stop proposed ‘Towcester’ Greyhound track in UK. Worldwide protests needed now to stop Greyhound abuse before it starts. We cannot emphasize the importance of this very urgent appeal to try and stop this Greyhound track from proceeding.
