  • Update on Jerez Galgos – some still wait on death row in Cadiz – please help

    Maribel jerez Charl 3 250 Work has been going on ‘behind the scenes’ at GN to help rescue the current Jerez Galgos. I am pleased to tell you that 8 of them have already travelled to Valencia to Galgo Connection Spain and all are negative for the Mediterranean diseases.

    Another 4 will be coming out on 24th December to Malaga and Asociacion para la Proteccion del Galgo Espanol – Charl del Rio. They will be going into a local kennels. These 4 need microchipping, vaccinating, castrating and blood testing, plus rent for the kennel.

  • Updates on the Seville galgos – Scooby Medina helps

    Seville rescue 1 10 2010 250 Here’s a message from Cobie, a Dutch volunteer who has travelled to Spain to help at the Scooby Medina refuge.

    ‘Scooby saved some 75 galgos from the area around Sevilla. A few weeks ago they went picking up some 25 galgos, Last Wednesday another 37 of which you can see the pictures and tomorrow (Tuesday) another 25 are being picked up by Scooby. They come from everywhere, taken from the streets, from gypsy camps, from perreras, also from the bloody perrera from Mairena.
