You may remember the campaign to stop galgo racing at the Mijas hippodrome. Charl del Rio of 112carlotagalgos had a meeting with the Mayor who confirmed that they were not considering allowing any further meetings for galgo racing, for the time being. We are sure your response to the appeal to send letters helped.
Mieke van Erp wants to emphasise to the council the desire of galgo supporters to continue with this decision and has raised a petition which she is asking you all to sign. Here’s the link. Please support her.

But now many racetracks are closing in the US and Great Britain, because it is not a really profitable business (anymore)…

Full crazy, that is what this idea is.
I signed the petition, I hope it helps. Forwarded it to the Hungarian sighthound rescue, too.
It would be a nightmare for the dogs and the rescue organizations when they would open a track there.
I hope they reconsider this insane idea…

i have signed this must not happen can you imagine the breeding of more galgos on top of the big problem that there already is with over breeding and not to mention if other countries got the news of this imagine the greys what would be sent there this cant happen

If I’m not mistaken, you have adoted 2 Galgos and you live in Brampton, Ont. I live in Quebec and I was wondering how you got your Galgos. Was it through GRIN in the US or directly through a refuge in Spain?
