On GdS FB, Angie McCready has offered to foster them if she gets sponsorship and if an organisation can get them out and take them to her. I have offered to donate 15 GBP if an org can get them out. I understand that they are due to die tomorrow because the perrera is so full.
angie mccready
im going to struggle as i already have 7 rescue dogs, and can afford to feed another 2, but if we can get sponsers to help me out i will take them….please xx
angie mccready
sorry i meant “cant afford” x
fiona
Angie, you are in Uk? Might be worth trying LurcherSOS to see if they can offer any help if you foster them, they are taking galgos for GdS and may be willing to help. Also contact Greyhounds In Need as they may well be able to offer some help. Worth a try. Being so timid, they will be hard work for a while.
Hi Please go on the the animal welfare support murcia group on Facebook, there is a comment thread where we are discussing trying to get them out but need funds to help please?
Viv
Angie has agreed to foster these 2, we have a sponsor, Little Pod foundation, please can people help with donations as then we have the whole plan covered. I dont know how, as there are so many and so much to deal with right now, Paypal donation button on http://www.awsm.es if you can help.
Thanks
viv
Latest update on these 2 is that they have an offer of adoption from a couple in Madrid and we are as standby if this doesnt work out; either way these 2 are saved 🙂
fiona
Donated £15 – if not needed for these two, there will be plenty others who can use it I’m sure! Just so glad the dreadful ordeal is almost over for them and hoping they now have a happy life ahead with all the love they deserve.
jenny
exelent oh that was a site to see as anyone been intouch with eve the lady who goes to the pereera and puts on galgo news

I just hope, that the family in Madrid gets to read this page, to see how many people are trying to rescue the galgos in the perreras.
You have the connection to these two galgas, even if you have never met them in person. It would be a lovely thing when the new family would know about this.
I am very happy to know, that the two are safe.

i was told regui cross galgo saved aswell soooooo pleased for him still got to email about marina gals see how it gone for them been so busy on all the other news and now intouch with maribel who deals with the jerez gals in kill station she works hard to get them to saftey it costs her 30 to get each gal out then she must pay for castration and chip to get ready for home it costs 150 for girls and 120 for boys if anyone would lie to help her
fiona
I contacted Maribel once before to donate to help a galgo, but I couldnt understand her reply very well and was completely confused with the bank details, so ended up donating to another rescue with paypal address. If Maribel was able to get a paypal address, it would be easier for people in UK to donate to help her, and I certainly would. She does a fantastic job getting dogs out of that place, and I would like to be able to pass a little bit of help to her even just occasionally. I feel a bit stupid about not being able to understand the Spanish bank details, but when there are so many demands for help, it is very easy to respond to those which you understand rather than struggling with those you cant.
jenny
hi fiona ye i felt the same way as you on replys from maribel so i contacted charl of 112 carlota galgos and she kindly took it through her paypal account for me then transfered to maribels account for me it cost her 1 50 to transfer that was to put 30 through i know its hard to donate when they dont have paypal i have told maribel to get a paypal account it would be easier i am going to email charl and ask that she email maribel and explain to her it would be much easier she would get more donations that way and quicker
fiona
That would be very helpful, Jenny, Maribel does a fantastic job, and I’m sure she could save even more if she got more donations – I cant give much at present, a bit here and a bit there, but it all adds up, and I am very hopeful that within a few weeks I will be able to do a bit more. I think Maribel deserves as much help as possible.

Hi people, if you use the international bank account numbers then a money transfer is basically FREE OF CHARGE within the European Union.
You need for the transfer then
– International Bank Account Number aka IBAN and
– SWIFT- or BIC-Code (both are the same, BIC = Bank Identification Code)
– name of the adressee
– maybe the name of her bank, too.
Look at this page, they give exactly these details
I list the page as an example http://scoobymedina.org/en/how_you_can_help.html
