And the horrors continue. The Bright Eyes Society has printed a database of the worst Spanish municipal and private dog pounds under contract by town halls and pseudo societies of protection of animals which act as paid dog and cat slaughter houses for the municipalities. http://www.brighteyes.dk/dataentry/default.asp?id=43&mnu=43
The authorities generally do not control or supervise the condition of the animals. The public often has no access to the animals. Prepare to be astounded at the length of the list!
At the end of the list there are two addresses to whom letters of protest can be sent.
If anyone can send me one in Spanish to release on Galgo News, I will be very grateful!

i feel sorry for the families who lost their dogs and cats and couldnt get them back. i recently lost my two best dogs i lost my australian cattle herder by old age – she live long she lived to 105 in human years. I lost my German Rottweiler due to heartworms we spent thousands of dollars on him to get rid of them but never worked, he was only 3. ;(
This seriously digusts me.. We are meant to be able to rely on rangers and that to find our beloved animals and keep them safe til we can pick them up. Y dont you let them be adopted for free if this is whats going to happen to them anyways.. Stop charging people to take these helpless ones home, they deserve to be loved. You seriously need help if you can look at all these dogs and not have a care in the world. People please dont go to the pound if your wanting to get rid of a pet.. The rscpa and k9 rescues are the place to go. Wide open spaces and they seriously look into new owners.. Stop this from happening its a disgrace.
why is there so many evil people about why is the law never on the poor animals side it wouldnt be so heart breaking if the dogs where put to sleep peacefully but they ant they are made to suffer sometimes for up to 20 mins a time in pain what is wrong with these people and if the publick cant get in to most of these dog pounds how do they expect to get an home poor souls jen
Thank you to both of you for your comments. I agree, it is diabolicalthat this goes on. I am hoping that ESDAW will be able to take up the fight on behalf of the animals, this is a field they will be concentrating on. If you havent already subscribed to them, please do. Lets hope they can make some headway and we can all support them. My problem is that so many stories come in to publicise that I cant get my head round composing another letter to the hunters….I really must. Thanks to you both for your support and for caring for the innocents.
