Snow arrived in France yesterday. It’s fine for the Pyrenees for skiing, but no good for keeping animals. Frozen water pipes, frozen water buckets, grass under snow…..
But for the Arca de Noé refuge in Albacete in Spain, it is even worse. This picture is of the refuge in summer. See what they are coping with, along with many other northern Spanish refuges and shelters. Look at the depth of snow, plus frozen water pipes, snow in the dog runs….I can’t begin to imagine what they cope with. The volunteers are absolute angels.

Depth of snow, imagine having to clear all this before you can even get to the dog runs, food stores………….nightmare!
This is not fun for dogs – not the fault of the refuge and volunteers, the fault of the Spanish municipal, regional and governmental members
