Missing Spanish hunter found dead at the bottom of a well – makes a change from a galgo!

Rough Justice, folks! Here’s one up for the galgos. A missing hunter has been found dead at the bottom of a well in Calvia! He’d been missing for 9 days; no one heard his cries for help as he lay in the well badly injured. Eventually he shot himself. The galgos who get thrown down wells don’t have the luxury of a gun to put themselves out of their misery.

I just do not understand those who inflict pain on others, be it dog, cat, horse or human. Each time I see and hear of these abuses, these evil, evil abuses,I die within myself. Such beautiful, beautiful creatures, such miracles each and every one. I pray that there really is a paradise after one dies and finally gets to leave their physical form… and that all of creation goes their. That they never, ever remember the wickedness, the pain… that was placed upon them. That they finally run free without worry for food, shelter, love… Never, ever to know it again.

Thanks for your comments; I thought there would be
many of you who would feel that, like me, for once a hunter got to feel how a
galgo would feel, dropped down a well.

The hunter who shot himself down the well, was a known abuser of dogs? You people who would rather a person die than a dog is beyond belief. Just because he hunts you lot have tared him with the abuser brush, not everyone is like that. I hope you think about his family during this season of goodwill.
And before you all start whining, I have have had dogs all my life but I put a humans life first..maybe i’m selfish?

    Hi
Im interested in how you came across my blog to
read this tale. Have you also read on my blog, and digestedwhat
happens to tens of thousands of galgos every year, the abuse they suffer at
the hands of the hunters? These hunters are sadistic torturers – who care
not one jot for life – to them a dog is just a tool, like a piece of rag, shut
in a dark shed, starved, beaten, and then discarded at the end of the hunting
season. So you are a dog owner – what would you rather have the hunter do
    – drop his dogs down a deep well, or shoot it humanely with his gun when he no
longer wants it. Come on, goodwill? The galguerros havent heard of
it, the majority of them are inhuman. No, you are not selfish in what you
say, you are entitled to your opinion. But you need to accept that
everyone who knows about the plight of the galgos will have no sympathy for what
happened to this hunter. Come on, get on our side and join the campaigns
to change the law in Spain to stop the barbaric sadistic torture of their
galgos, not to mention bulls, donkeys and horses – the latter in the name of
    entertainment!
Thanks for reading Galgo News and taking the time

whining?? lets explain that to my male galgo Viento, who had his scull beaten to pulp, his eye beaten to pulp, and lost his eye because of this, and horrificly shot allover his body because he was no longer of use for his spanisch hunter, my husband is a spanisch man, but ashamed of the spanisch hunter in his country, we have 5 galgos, and not one of them was treated with humanity, not even during the season of goodwill.

I donot believe in coincidences, I believe that everything happens for a reason. I believe in what goes around comes around ….. so I am sure that there would have been a reason why this happened to this man ……
I only wish that the same justice will be done to everyone who abuses, mistreate etc. animals and children.
It is a shame that Spain, anno 2009 and as a member of a united Europe is still not hold responsible for all the animal abuse and killings.

    Bonjour
Thank you for commenting. I agree with you
that things often happen for a reason – we cant always see the reason at the
time. And things also have a way of coming back – possibly this hunter
dropped some of his dogs down a well in the past. And cruelty to animals
and children is something which enrages me – picking on those who mostly cannot
fight back. I was told a story of a galguerro who took his galgo to a
refuge, asked them to take it in and, if they did not, he would hang it.
All the time he talked, the dog touched his
    hand………………..

I know. This race, galgo’s and greyhounds, is a very noble race. Very social and loyal.
It has always surprised me to see that even though a galgo is mistreated and hurt badly it still is able to trust menkind.
I donot mind that this hunter shot himself. I just mind he didnot do it earlier. I just hope the rest of them will do the same.
