Attn. a petition to the EU requesting help to protect animals

At an Offtopic section of an spanish forum (“Save a life” we thought it was a good idea to beg you to help us collaborate to gather one million signatures, needed to ask the European Commission to introduce a law to protect all animals in the European Union member states against animal abuse and maltreat in Europe.

This is the text of the petition, originally written in French:

For the attention of the European Parliament Commission:

Thanks to the new right to the citizen’s initiative, one million citizens from all over the different member states can now ask the Commission for the presentation of new proposals.

Thus, the European Commission is hereby requested to adopt a legal initiative for the protection and the fight against pet abuse in the European Union.
Any type of pet is to be taken into consideration.

A million signatures are needed.
