Blind galga Esperanza – view her pix – safely rehomed away from Spain

The blind galga Esperanza from Los Infiernos refuge which was adopted by Galgos 112 and rehomed, is already happy in her new environment, after just one day! Renamed Pucca, here is a gallery of photos.

I wish we could have such happy endings for all the galgos and podencos who suffer in Spain.

Bother my quite touch type fingers which sent the
last comment before I had finished!
Isnt it wonderful that she has found such a loving
home. And there I questioned about spending hundreds of
pounds/dollars/euros on saving badly injured or handicapped galgos like
    Esperanza.
And, MARVELLOUS, all you amazing Galgo News readers
    have shouted me down~!
And I dont mind in the least. I am just as
excited as all of you to see these pictures.

    Hugs Tina,
You must feel so happy. I know you were
despairing about the galgos you have saved, but now you know there are wonderful
people out there on the Internet rooting for you, and caring.
When do I get the info about the two
    males?

Would you believe we are still recieving emails for her. People have copy and pasted this and emailed it all over the world. Today we are still recieving emails asking what has happened to her and how can they help. Its incredible. On the other hand Beryl I do understand what you say about is it better to put a very ill galgo down. I suppose every case is different and for some reason this girl just stole everyones hearts!! Its because she is so wonderful xx

p.s Beryl, I will profile the two new males next week as hubby has bought me a new camera which arrives hopefully tomorrow. I think I mentioned it that I had some wonderful photos of them and then my camera was stolen. I now have the money to castrate them also but will give them a bit more time before whipping them out to the vets this early! Monday – Sandy goes in, next lali and then the 2 new males. Then of course its a matter of time before new galgos arrive. I have told my colleagues that because the donations have come from this galgo web page that all donations I recieve personally go on preparing galgos only, unless a donater tells me different!!! However if there is a special case that Linda is involved in then I am sure we would all be up for supporting her also. She works very hard!!!! Thanks to all the donaters we are storming now xxxxxxxxxxx

I can believe how touched people were about the
story of the blind galga. Maybe you remember Gisela, who was rescued by
Noahs Arc refuge, also in your region I think. She touched everyones
heart, they donated to her veterinary care, Andy made videos on YouTube – sadly
she was just too ill and eventually lost the will to live. But in her last
few weeks she knew the joy of gentle voices and caring loving
    hands.
Esperanza, now Pucca, is just such another
    one.
Amidst all the horror which the hunters perpetrate,
you must all be so thrilled to find that so many people care.
