Galga, rescued from a well, dumped in a killing station, sent across Spain

Galga thrown in well 250 2 10 05 2011 You all know how much I praise the amazing volunteers in Spain who work tirelessly, often at the expense of their own families, their own health…..to save the abandoned galgos and podencos – plus all the other dogs and cats. But sometimes I wonder just why someone makes a decision which seems ludicrous……

This poor galga was rescued by the police from a well, then dumped in a killing station. A local association stepped in and offered to take her…..but instead she is being sent across Spain to Asturias! In this condition. Will she survive or will the journey and stress kill her?

UPDATE – she is being taken to the Occidente Astur protectora in Asturias and Pro-Galgo will deal with any adoption.

No words left. I can’t believe this. Poor Galga indeed. Hopefully she finds good care now.
