Please email Boris Johnson, the current Mayor of London, presently campaigning for re-election and request he withdraws his support for the return of greyhound racing and the gambling on dogs to Walthamstow in East London. Please also ask for his assurances that the industry will not receive funding from central government to subsidise the declining and cruel dog racing industry.

Please withdraw your support for the return of greyhound racing to Walthamstow. There are numerous reports of the cruelty that surrounds this “sport”. Animals who are no longer of use are “dispatched” and dumped, or worse still, left to die in pain. The conditions living animals are kept in is barbaric – small, cramped, filthy cages.
Can you please also assure me that the industry will not receive funding from central government to subsidise this cruel and unpopular activity.
