Heartbreak for Baas Galgo in Cordoba. Sandra explains.
‘Sad news again…besides the death of two sister puppies hours after being admitted, the admitted puppies in Cordoba have Parvovirus as well. The vet finds it very difficult to think that they can survive…….. … they are puppies and they were given to us very starving, their immune system is under minimum and this is the worst that could happened to them….
In addition to it we have five puppies at the shelter who MUST be out of there this weekend … and two more puppies have to be admittde … we REALLY need foster houses and financial aid … one more effort…….. please. We are working under minimal since emotionally we are having a rotten time … these news sadden us and emotionally our strength start to fail us.

Hello everybody, this post is SPECIAL. Special because it is about our Baasgalgo puppies … unfortunately, they are getting sick of Parvovirus and coronavirus … two aggressive diseases so lethal that they can end with their short lives really fast.
They affect only the puppies and those who manage to overcome fully recover, can live a normal life. THERE ARE EIGHT PUPPIES ADMITTED, four one and a half month old grey-hounds in Gandhi Clinic in the province of Cordoba. They are seriously ill.
And another four are in Huellas Clinic in the province of Toledo. Those last ones are in critical conditions. On the other hand, in the shelter stay FOUR OTHER PODENCOS AND LAB-RADOR beautiful puppies who at this moment have no symptoms. ALL PUPPIES HAVE TO LEAVE THE SHELTER ….because we have an out-break and it must be removed but it can take months … because winter will be here soon and the puppies will not withstand the low temperatures and because such small beings should live receiving love and strokes in a warm home.
WE ARE CALLING FOR HELP! We need people to get involved spreading this call, fostering, ADOPTING OR PROVIDING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE since the admission of the eight puppies will cost a fortune that Baasgalgo cannot afford without extra help. We will go on informing the state of the puppies, but we do not lose hope although the news about the white ones are getting worse.
We show pictures of all of the puppies on our Facebook page, we have preferred to omit some of them, provided by the Toledo Clinic, as they are very upsetting. Thank you for your interest and co-operation … we are sure that Baasgalgo family will get it and the sweeties who will be able to overcome this terrible disease and will become happy dogs. Hopefully they will not remember what we will never forget’

The new white galga rescued by Baasgalgo last night; she lay on the pavement of a town of 800 inhabitants in Toledo – everyone walked on by, ignoring her, at 01:00 hrs a couple of the Guardia Civil came to the rescue. She was dehydrated, eaten by ticks and fleas, is blind on one eye and has many scars.
