You may remember the case of the two galgos in Toledo who had been hung by their owner. Their microchips had not been removed and he was traced. Associacion Baas Galgo took him to court. Here is the update from Sandra Baas.
‘On October 9th, a court trial will take place at Juzgado n1 de lo Penal de Toledo for the man who murdered his two galgos by ways of hanging. Two years ago, the corpses of the two young dogs (one was 22 months old, the other was 5 years old) were found in the Fuensalida, Toledo location. The dogs had been hung and killed. One of the dogs, had a microchip which identified their owner, who confessed to the massacre and told the judge that he was not aware that hanging his dogs was considered illegal and that he did so because they were deemed “ineffective” since they were not successful hunting dogs.
