If you look carefully, you can see a galgo curled up under this tree. Sandra Baas tells the story. ‘They thought he was dead, but when they came closer, they found out this poor boy was still alive. His story in short:
They named him Caramelo (Caramel). He is skin over bones, and has been shot several times. There are leads everywhere on one side of his body but mainly in his front and back legs. There are also leads that got into his body and those are dangerous. This gorgeous boy has a long way to go before he is healthy again.

Asociacion Baas Galgo is trying desperately hard to raise capital to build a refuge in Toledo, where this poor dog was found. Sandra says she has never come across so much atrocity in such numbers as happens in Toledo. They have over 100 dogs to care for and rehome.
