Man’s cruelty again animals knows no bounds. Yet another sickening example – an 8 month old galgo puppy burned and forced to ingest acid. Photos on this link. Here’s a translation of the case.
Her name is Corcha. She’s an 8-month old little galga. She was burned with acid, forced to ingest it after a marriage ceremony, believe it or not! It happened in Merida. The poor thing is probably blind and will carry the scars (both mentally and physically) forever.
Lévriers sans Frontières has taken her under their wing.
“They are tortured, burned, beaten, hanged, soiled, despised: it is galgos, these dogs are still called “invisible” …
Corcha this little pup of 8 months was burned alive at the start of a marriage, in the town of Merida. Corcha had to swallow toxic substances that burned her abdomen, her body and her eyes, acid presumably as is the custom …
Corcha was hospitalized in intensive care for two weeks balancing between life and death. She will bear keep forever the scars of her ordeal. She may have lost sight and will need to be examined by a veterinarian who specializes in ophthalmology.
Corcha will forever be a living symbol of the barbarity of men.
The sponsorship via Actuanimaux will help the association to fund hospitalization in intensive care and treatment. By your clicks, calls and donations you will help the rebirth of small Corcha.
Now we can say that Corcha responds well to treatment and recovers very encouraging. We devote very soon to record progress already made. We still do not know if her eyes can be saved, treatments ahead lengthy and costly but we believe that Corcha will recover despite what she has suffered.”

The outrageous cruelty inflicted on that poor puppy dog and others by “chocho’s
should be prosecuted and jailed !. These people are the scum of the earth and all
right minded people hate you for your evil acts.
Exactly the seem goes for all Spanish involved in bullfighting, you merciless
bastards, including your so called king, who shoots bears and boars, may you rot in hell !!!
thats correct these people that treat these beutiful dogs in this way ant human they cant be they all want certifying then maybe the poor gals and pods would get peace in life without any torture i feel so much for these gentle souls and the most upsetting thing about this is i cant do anything about it and the poor rescues out there how they havnt been phisicaly worn out and mentaly worn out s a bleeding miracle
These people are the lowest of the Low, We took on one of the puppies from Natalie in Spain & although he is not too keen on the British Climate & he is a noisy little bugger (Barking at anyone/other dogs/horses/etc. that pass by our window & then moaning/groaning/grumbling about it afterwards when they’ve gone) he is the most loving dog we have, we have three dogs, all rescues as Natalie will attest to – Jasper is a collie X Labrador X Lurcher who we took on at just 5weeks as he was being kicked round the floor by a drug dealer, then there is Shona a female German Shepard – she was brought into the RSPCA at under 1/2 her natural weight, She had been kept in a cage for 23.5 hours a day & subsequently had to be completely shaved due to the amount of matted fur/Excrement/food/vomit etc. she is a little cheeky but is an angel in the house & a demon when the leads come out!!, this brings us to Jack our little Podenco X Orritas, Rescued from a sure life of hunting for some sick Spanish bastard, Saved by Natalie along with his Mum Robbie & several other pups that we are assured all have gone to good homes, Jack is a little horror, loves ripping up tissues, pulling leaves from plants, chewing up pens, pencils, tippex, just about anything that isn’t his basically, we believe he is a Podenco X Orritas as he has all the markings similar to that of the Orritas (think Doberman Pincher & you are close markings wise) & we absolutely love him to bits, we wouldn’t be without him & we have to take him with us even if we are just nipping to the supermarket, otherwise he would destroy the house by the time we get back!!, we absolutely love him & He is the most kindest loving animal we have ever owned between us, his affection knows no bounds, all this & he’s not even a year old yet, so it makes me think, If all Galgo/Podenco have a similar loving temperament then what sort of sick and twisted individuals or groups of individuals find it amusing to pour acid over an 8 month old puppy & find it really amusing to place rat poison in Pepis dog pens while Alan was suffering from heart problems in hospital, the culprits should be lined up & shot Or better still take them out into the middle of nowhere & let the punishment suit the crime, I wonder how the bride & groom of the wedding party would like it if we snatched them up one night, drove them out into the middle of nowhere, tied them up & poured battery acid over them???, do you think they would enjoy it as much as them physically, emotionally & mentally scarring a helpless loving puppy, My thoughts are not, But I for one would enjoy doing it to them, Or how about forcing rat poison down the throats of those who poisoned the pens at Pepis & killing poor Chet after all he has been through, it is one thing to use a dog for hunting – this is a common practice that goes on all over the world – although it only seems to be the Spanish Galgueros that choose to treat “Mans Best Friend” with even the basic disregard for the animals welfare, If our dogs are good we reward them with a treat or a tasty bone, if a Galguero’s dog is good it is rewarded by being hung high in a tree! sick doesn’t even come close!!, If one of our dogs is being bad then we exclude them from “The Pack” (Me, My Wife & the other two dogs) for 5 minutes, If a Galguero’s dog has been bad it is either taken out to the middle of nowhere where it has its legs broken with the butt of a rifle or a swift kick from the Galguero’s Boot or it it hung low in a tree with its back feet Just touching the floor (The so called piano dance), Let the punishment suit the crime I say, & when we come over to Spain soon we will be bringing copies of the letter & excerpts from this Podenco Post & Galgo News Websites to hand out to Brits coming off of the plane & to British tourists we meet there, we will be sending copies of the letter to The Prime Minister UK, The president of Government/Prime minister Spain, To The Courts of the E.U., To as many current affairs TV programs that we can think of, To All the major news channels, to all the people we know who have visited or are planning to visit Spain, we will circulate this letter & excerpts from here around our local community, we will be contacting the Spanish authorities to let them know what we are doing & if all of us club together & do the same then the Spanish Guardia Civil & the Cuerpo Nacional de Policía, CNP, & Mariano Rajoy Brey, The Prime Minister of Spain, known in Spanish politics as the President of the Government of Spain Or (Presidente del Gobierno de España),the head of Government of Spain Will have to take action against these barbaric bastards, As I am sure that a fall in the number of tourists will not do their economy any favours, Especially in these hard times & when the Spanish economy is at an all time low, If we can’t get the bastards one way then we’ll get them another!! & we will never stop until either using Galgo’s/Podenco’s or any other form of Canine for hunting purposes becomes a criminal offence, Or the cruelty suffered by these poor innocent loving creatures becomes a criminal offence, Make the fines extortionate & compulsory & the government can make some money doing some good for a change!!! say €250.00 per dog injured, killed or harmed, if The owner maims or injures ten of his dogs then that is an instant €2500.00 fine, these bastards will soon find out that hurting these poor harmless animals will hurt them too where it hurts the most – their wallets!!.
