No kidding! Poor guy… I hope he gets better control of his body otherwise it’s not going to be much of a life. I also read elsewhere that he couldn’t control his bowel movements. I wonder if sometimes we go too far in saving some of these animals and if it wouldn’t be better to humanely euthanize them… His injuries were so horrendous. Quality of life must be taken into account. I know though that it’s a fine line…and I do hope that his recovery proves me wrong!

i know where you are coming from danielle but int it just a bleeding miracle how they can change around poor souls i dont know if you know of voyka with his wobble he been adopted and doing fine and there was a boy earlier this year in a bad way i think he come through aswell and then befor that esperansa i dont know if you followd the story on that beutiful girl the year befor she couldnt walk at all they thought she was dead she had a frame to walk on they really brought her bk i realy have to hand it to those rescues out there it all seems worth it when you see them walk unaided again the prob for the rescues is expence and homing when there is onley a hand full of people donating to them thats the sickening part about it but us hand full have to kep going for them

I did follow Espey’s rescue and recovery. You’re right, it was a miracle! And if I were in the rescuers’ shoes, I’d probably take one look in those beautiful doggie eyes and I’d probably do the same thing… It just seems like such a long and painful road to recovery sometimes. I really do hope that Miel gets better and gets to enjoy his life to the fullest.
