Mo Swatek of Pro-Galgo is now taking care of Miel – Honey – as the galgo has been named. The original estimate for her vet fees was 3,000 euros – a comment came back about spending so much on one dog. Here’s what Mo says.
The dog is not wounded, he has ehrlichia and is positive for distemper. I do agree that the money could be used better but we want to give it a try as he responds very well to the treatment. 3,000 euros are not needed for the treatment, only about 800 -1000, which is still a lot for an association. I would not have helped for a 3000€ case because it’s unfair to spend so much on a dog with little future when we could help 20 dogs with lots of future. Donate to the vet fees here.

HE IS STILL AT GLORIAS PLACES AS WE WANTED TO KEEP THE VET FATIMA IN CHARGE OF THIS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT CASE.
MIEL BY NOW IS RECOVERING SLOWLY FROM THE HIND LEG PARALIZIS BUT HE IS STILL INCONTINENT. WE REALY HOPE HE CAN GET BACK THE CONTROLL OVER HIS EXCREMENTS BECAUSE AN INCONTINENT GALGO HAS NEITHER LIVE QUALITY NOR WOULD SOMEONE ADOPT HIM
