is there any way we can get them to the uk? i guess they need vet treatment first.
First of all you need to contact the person on the post – you will probably need to write in Spanish, I use Spanish Dict.com for translations – the SDL section of the 3. Then you need to agree with them somewhere for the galga and pup to go – kennels or foster home. Before that can happen, you have to pay a fee to the kennels/perrera/ to rescue the dogs. The bitch needs blood testing and examining by a vet for any contagious diseases, in case treatment needs to be started immediately. You also need to find an association who would agree to make further arrangements for all the paperwork and travel arrangements, plus funding it all. You will find a list of galgo rescue associations on Galgo News, just put in the necessary key words in the
search box.It is a sad fact of life that most of the refuges/shelters are overflowing with abandoned and rescued dogs and cats.We all desperately want to help every dog. It is marvellous that you want to help. Please make your searches on Galgo News and the search engines and contact the person making the appeal. I cant do any more as I go on holiday tomorrow for a week and wont be on the Internet. Keep me posted how you go on. Thanks for caring.

However, they have super equipment in the rescue centre and have foreign contacts (even here in Canada…)

hi annie i live in the uk aswell where abouts are you earlier this year i donated to maribel 180 euros for to get 2 galgas out of jerrez kill station i know in that particuler kill station they have to be spayed now befor they can leave and all the tests done dont know if it would be the same at this kill station maribel said she needed that amount what i sent through i dont know if maribel had to pay anymore towards that i was just glad they got out then went to their homes bless so the way it works is how beryl says the person who is appealing will let you know how much to get them out then they will have to go to shelter then have to find a rescue in the uk that will be bkup for the dogs for you to take them then adoption fee to the shelter and arrange travell for them to the uk when we brought 2 gals over in may we payed the 150 adoption fee to rescue and we paid £280 for them to come to uk via our uk contact we got from beryl so you may get the same price for 2 of them because i know now it is 280 per dog i know it sounds a lot of messing and sounds expensive but them rescues are up against it in all ways do do a bril job and i tell you its all worth it in the end we also brought a x pod german shep over in august
