Great news about the Avaaz petition. Here’s what Danielle says. ‘My petition reached 50,000 and I sent it today to the Spain Prime minister, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, The Real Sociedad Canina, 2 Spanish TV channels, 2 Spanish national newspapers, and the permanent representation of Spain to the EU.’ Danielle will let us know if she gets any response.

Brilliant news Danielle – let’s hope this is the start of changes for future.
I also plan on sending a letter with photos to the Queen of Spain. I got her postal address from a staffer at PETA. It can’t hurt… Also, I’m trying to interest every local and provincial newspaper in Quebec about the galgo situation. Perhaps, everyone should try that. Reaching out to your local and national newspapers with the story. If you want pictures to attach, let me know (via email: danielle.hart@videotron.ca) I’ve got (unfortunately) some horrible ones that should melt any heart that’s not made of stone. If we spread the word enough, we’re bound to reach someone at some point who will be able to really make a difference… I hope!
Let’s hope they take notice.
