Signed and my own comment added. I have read many disturbing things about the dreadful treatment of animals in Romania. People can also adopt the street dogs and bring them to the UK. The charities I know of are ROLDA and Romanian Animal Aid but I know there must be many more.

signed this one ye same here i know of the rolda shelter dana costin is the founder its a horrid situation over there aswell and they addopt around europe no matter where you look its the same for these poor animals

and also there is a lady by the name of lydia i think she will be round about 74 now who at the last count had about 100 dogs on her property looking after them with the help of only 2 people and i am sure dana helped her out with a lot of food the lady got hardly any money its such a shame when only a hand full of people help these poor lost souls if more people took the time to understand an animal and see how much love they have to offer the world would be a better place for these beuties

As I always want to know more about things, I’ve just been reading a fascinating article about this on the Occupy For Animals website (which you must never look at, Jenny, as you’d probably be in intensive care for weeks.) It’s an investigation into the numebrs and everything involved and, guess what, there’s a lotta dosh to be made by the dog-killers. Well, surprise surprise, filthy lucre. It is a very interesting and well-analysed example of how corruption between national and local governments and businesses or entrepreneurs and the dreadful harm and grief that results. http://tinyurl.com/ptwm38y
