Disabled galgo puppy Polar – video when he was dumped at Pepis Refuge, Pedrera, Seville

Here’s a video of my gorgeous disabled galgo puppy Polar – at 2 months old when he was dumped at the gates of Pepis Refuge. I’m pleased to say that as he has grown he is able to cope with his disability much better.

He is on MSM to ward off arthritis in the knee joint and special dog food containing salmon oil. I also massage his leg and hind quarter with massage oil containing rape oil and petroleum jelly.

He is a very popular member of our local dog club – they’ve all been amazed when he’s been let off the lead to lay with the other pups! I’m really proud of him.

A couple of the members have used a Canine osteopath for previous dogs they have owned so I have contacted her to organise an appointment for her to see Polar and advise what help she can give him to further improve his musculature and movement. This is the website for those interested – my computer translates it into English.

I will report on the consultation in due course.
