Sandra Baas reports the outcome of the court case against the galguero who hung his galgos. The case was heard on 9th October 2013
We are waiting for the letter of the judge but he already confirmed us 7,5 months of prison, in Spain this means you will not go to jail but now he has a criminal record. For the rest of the punishment we have to wait. It will take at least a week but talking Spain..it will take longer.
It is great news, this is history, the first galguero has been judged for hanging his galgos in Spanish history!
On this link you can see the video on the tv show of Jorge Javier Vazquez, who says he is very happy after the Court has ordered a man who hanged more greyhounds to seven months in prison. This has been possible thanks to the struggle of Baasgalgo Association.

well hope there is more to come down this road for the hunters who kill their galgos and pods but ant going to bring the poor souls back if the laws had of been more serious for these precious souls not just there all round the world may be just maybe they would have still been here bless big thanks to baas galgo and the judge who passed the sentence all who was involved
It’s the first step for justice for the Galgos and Podencos! One day I hope there is total retribution for all the tortured souls that these scumbags have murdered. We can never take away what they have suffered, but I hope and pray one day, the law will protect those yet to be born.
