Dog Coats urgently needed for Spain – all sizes

Appealing for dog coats – any size – as Pepis Dog Refuge need them for their 70+ dogs. If you want to send them to me, I will take them down by car in December. If you send them direct to Spain, Correos could charge Pepis tax on them! Pm me for my postal address. Please share the appeal.

I can help as I am sewing coats. As I am in Germany I could send them to Spain directly, but I need a reliable address where the parcel can be delivered to or somebody here in Germany that is visiting Pepis. I suppose there are mostly sighthounds? Any information would be helpful.

forgot to ask must the coats all be waterproof or just warm washable materials?

Hi – Correos is not reliable, which is why I have suggested
coats can be sent to me as we will be spending a couple of days at Pepis at
Xmas.  We leave here on 21 December.  There are all types of dogs from galgos
to podencos to tiny puppies only weeks old and dumped there – plus terrier
types (bodugero and similar) – there are about 8 galgos but they are expecting
more to be dumped on them in January…it’s the same every year!  So any
type/style/size of coat will be very welcome.  If you are willing to send to me
here in France, I will take them.  I’ll email you privately with my address if
you wish.  My friend who used to make coats is taking a break – she must have
made 400 or 500 during the past 4 years, all of which I’ve taken down to
refuges.  For a change, she is making toys!  Thank you in advance.

Waterproof if poss as most of the dogs are out in kennels and runs, but certainly warm and washable. As an outer waterproof layer, my friend used an old nylon tent which she was given, lined the coats with fleece she picked up from Emmaus for peanuts and then donated mens ties – 2 per coat – to fasten. Didnt matter what the coats looked like as long as they worked. Actually looked good with the different patterns on the ties.
