Poor Polar. On Friday he visited the vet and had his ‘crown jewels’ removed! Only one testicle had dropped so my marvellous French vet Florence had to go further to find the very tiny one which hadn’t. Sweet Polar is very quiet today, trying to get used to carrying the unwieldy collar around. 8 more days before the stitches can come out.

Oh no, it’s the cone of shame! Poor Polar, hope he feels better soon.
healing energies sent to you, sweet baby, from the burbs of NYC.
Thank you all, I’ve given him your messages. He’s not so good today, wound has been bleeding so he’s now wearing an inflatable collar too and first thing tomorrow morning (Monday) I will be back to the vet. As you can imagine, the poor boy is soooo depressed.
poor moofle doofle sweety pie. The terrible experience will pass. Sweet doodle muffin. Give him a kiss from me.
hope that Polar is feeling better again. Wearing a collar is a must but no fun for the dogs. My Fiona had this big collar and also an inflatable one but still managed to get to the stiches and chewed on them it took very long time until it healed. Beryl will a diaper or some leggins prevend him to chew on this suture.
sadly on Sunday Polar became depressed and his sheath inflamed and swollen. 2300 Sunday night we were back at the vet as it was bleeding. Turns out the poor dog has an allergy to the plaster put on the wound to protect it. He was brighter Monday morning but the wound is still weeping, although redness has gone. Still inflammation around the wound, so on increased dosage of anti-inflammatories. Tonight (Monday) he wanted to run and play with Bracken!!!!! So he’s only allowed out on a short lead…back to the vet for check up on Thursday but I feel much happier about him tonight. Thank you everyone for caring. I’m sure your healing thoughts have now reached him.
