CAGED will he holding Greyhound Remembrance Day in Manchester on Sunday, 27th July 2014 in respect of a million plus greyhounds killed by the UK greyhound racing industry since 1926. We plan to make this a very special event in memory of the dogs.

CAGED are working to raise funds for a sky banner to be flown by aeroplane over Manchester and the surrounding areas displaying the large red text ‘Greyhounds U Bet – They Die. Times and location will be available on the website shortly.

CAGED have now received enough donations for their sky banner, so I have donated for the posters to be put on buses, “greyhounds for pets not cheap bets”. The posters look really good and they still need more donations – details on the website that Beryl has provided the link to. Their demonstration in Manchester in January was brilliant, hope that this special event goes well.
