I’m looking at portable dog enclosures with a view next year to going away sometimes with our caravan and taking our dogs – 5 at the moment but I don’t think we will have the old boy next year…13 and a good age for a dog his size, to find some fun dog shows. (There aren’t many in France – they are all agility/pedigree showing shows!) I found this link, bearing in mind I need something which can be pegged into the ground! I don’t want to use cages for my galgos. Anyone have any other suggestions/experiences to share?

some one somewhere will know a salution beryl the dog enclosure looks fine but like you say needs holding down hope some one can come up with something concrete for you hope the old boy hangs in there he may surprize you bless there is always differnt shows going on over here for all breeds shame its just pedigrees in your area and surrounding
Hi Beryl, I think those panels look great – expensive, but if they’re good quality and you use them a lot, probably wprth it. The thing to remember is not to bother with silly little camping pegs, but to get someone to cut you some 40cm lengths of reinforcement bars, not more than 1cm diameter, and bend them over at the top into almost a hook (more than camping pegs ever are.) Then knock them in at quite an angle (the end in the ground near the pen, the top further away.) You can even use one of those tension belts right over the top if you want to be sure, the kind they have on lorries. The re-bo pegs can also be used as tetheribng pegs if necessary – bashed in well, there’s no chance of getting entanghled. Also, you’ll need some shade netting and something waterproof. These camping mats are excellent an are as waterproof as you’re likely to need – can be used as groundsheets or covers.
