beryl looks like petition closed I filled details in and signed but it wouldn’t let me than at the bottom it says 12000 s many hundred and tells you how many signed it you know I am surprised these poor dogs and cats don’t die of shock at the sheer pain inflicted when having their arms broke what the hell pff what next is there any thing animals don’t suffer
signed it, Denmark is not a country for dogs, until they change their laws, you are not safe with your dog to visit this country. I would advice every rescue before sending dogs to Denmark to reconsider this. Dogs can be killed and shot by anyone, shelters my keep your dog 1-2 days if you inform the police that you miss your dog, thereafter he will be killed. There is no shelter as we know it. In the past Denmark was for visitors with dogs a friendly country until they changed their laws, their policy nowadays humans YES, but NO dogs.
This is absolutely disgusting. I signed and commented, not sure it was accepted, as it said the petition had reached 12,500. I had no idea that Denmark was a country lacking in laws like this to protect animals. I thought it was a modern, forward thinking country – how wrong can you be!

That is just rubbish katharina. We don’t just kill our dogs. Denmark have shelters like every other country where we take care of the animals that no longer have a home or if a family go on a vacation we can send to a dog care.
I’m highly provoked by this article as this isn’t the truth. Yes it’s legal to have sex with your dog I’m Denmark but if you do anything that harms the animal you are charged with animal abuse. Animal sex is a taboo in Denmark because luckily almost everyone thinks it sick and disgusting and if you tell people you like to have sex with your dog people will judge you and tell you that you are sick. I want the law to be changed and so does a lot of other people. But please don’t tell me that you are so naive that you think animal sex isn’t happening if countries who forbids it. Even though you change a law things happen anyway. But I wished it didn’t because it’s disgusting and sick. Peace out!

Civilised country? Copenhagen Zoo murdered Marius a giraffe that had outlived his ‘cute’ period, dissected him in front of children and fed him to the lions. (Then bred another one) They are also up to their eyes in a conspiracy to assist the Faroe Islands kill dolphins
I would like to say a few words about these socalled goings on in Denmark.Most people here are decent there will always be the od ones that are not and the sociopaths and clearly demented individuals such as the ones that think its allright to rape poor innocent animals who diden´t ask for such wanton cruel abuse and acts of torture no animals or children should ever be subjected to such blatant evil acts. I find hard to find words that strong enough to convey the sadness and contempt I have for those entities who commit such wanton acts of extreme cruelty they are no better than other animal abusers anywhere in the world and to be honest. I find it stange that this government dosen´t lift even one finger to help animals in such dire circumstances these acts should be outlawed and severly punished they are henious acts of extreme cruelty and I sincerly hope these culprits rot in hell submerged in their own faecal matter and evil deeds. It makes me sick to think anyone would do such things .How do these culprits live with themselves.

@Malene, my writting refers to Denmarks dog laws until 30June 2014,some modification, the future will show if this new law will be applied.

Before June 2014 (the old law from 1872) your neighbour could shot your dog or cat if you did not react promptly.
