This news from the translator of my book into Italian. Terrible!
In order to lighten the massive amount of procedures which must occupy the Italian magistrates, the Renzi government has decided to decriminalize the crimes of lesser severity, including among these the crime of cruelty against animals declaring it a misdemeanor. This means that no torturer of animals will end up more in prison, and anyone is free to mistreat animals.

Signed petition one, over 63000 people signed so that’s good news.
This is really terrible news for the animals. I have sent an email to the Vatican and a copy of the petition. Not had a reply yet but maybe the Pope is busy at this time of year!
